We are all packed up and ready to leave on a jet plane.
We are going to bow out with an excerpt from the great Aussie poem, "My Country" by Dorothea Mackellar:
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts . . .
and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty . . .
and her terror,
The wide brown land for me.
It has been a wonderful 2 year 7 month holiday! I am happy to go back to my home country, but Australia will always have a special place in my heart.

What a beautiful poem. Don't worry--you can always take me back to visit everything you left behind!
Love it. We also left on ANZAC Day last year. We still call Australia 'home' too. Best wishes in your travels. I look forward to the Northern Lights updates.
I love the poem-- and I am sad that you are moving from the land down under. It has been so fun to see what you are up to!! Promise me that if you ever come out here to run in a race again-- you'll call me!! I still feel bad I didn't get out to see you, has it been 5 or 6 years? I just wish you were moving closer! Bon voyage and I can't wait to see the new pics of Alaska.
Juli, What a grand experience you have had in that beautiful land. Thanks for sharing it with us. I am glad to have you a bit closer to home. We are looking forward to visiting you there. Mom
